My role in the music industry?

I am a DJ, I also own a record label (In The Lab Recordings)
I’m a music based youth worker with Free2Talk

About my journey in the music industry, And what inspired me to pursue a career in music?

My journey in the music industry begins with my dad as he’s been a DJ for most of his life and therefore all of mine.
A lot of my interest in music comes from that and DJ’ing my primary school discos with him.

Then later on through a joint love of drum & bass, my friend Kenny taught me how to DJ.
We then went on to create our label ‘In The Lab Recordings’.

After seeing the response and genuine support for what we were doing it made me want to find a career in the music industry.

What inspires me to help next generation of budding music professionals.

Because music is such an important method of dealing with or portraying emotions which can help massively with things such as mental health.
It’s an amazing industry with a broad variety of job opportunities.
Providing a platform for people to discover and hone their skills is very important.

My preferred selection of music?

Drum and bass, future garage, hip hop, dubstep, grime, trap, rock.

An interesting fact about me.

I’ve watched all of the lord of the rings films more than anything else.
