My role in the music industry?
I DJ for a living, mobile and in clubs, been involved in music production and music videos/freestyle video’s for a number of years with various artists around the midlands and further afield, and through youth work, deliver various DJ/Production/lyric writing workshops.
I have run a music based YouTube channel, DONPTV.
Also ran a successful recording studio for 2 1/2 years before Covid.
About my journey in the music industry, And what inspired me to pursue a career in music?
My grandad was a band master for the Salvation Army, and I used to go watch him and the band play after Sunday school, and became obsessed with his brass instruments he had in the house from a very young age, and he taught me some basics on the tuba and trombone, my mum got me doing some piano lessons a few years later.
I used to spend a lot of time at the working mens club I lived next door to and my dad frequented, and listened to music a lot there, on the jukebox and form live bands.
Around 13 years old, a brother of my friend showed me how to “drop” a tune into another on the decks, and I instantly fell in love with DJ’ing, which then eventually led onto making music, then many years later, onto Djing as a job, organically.

What inspires me to help next generation of budding music professionals.
It’s something I’m very passionate about, as throughout my journey, and still to this day, I have people go above and beyond to help me on my way, in many different ways, which at times in my life has kept me on the right path, and been vital for me growing up, especially having free, safe access to do what I love and develop, weather that be music, arts or sports, though various youth work and youth services.
I feel honoured to have an opportunity to help others now, as know first hand how important these services are to young people.

An interesting fact about me.
My second toe is nearly as long as my little finger.
