Antivision at Roadmender — August 15th
On Friday, the 15th of August, I hit up Roadmender to catch Antivision, a collective of rappers and skaters from Northampton and beyond. More than just a group, they call themselves a multimedia cultural hub — and from what I saw, that description fits.
The night opened with a DJ set. Kirk’s (7–8 pm), who laid down a foundation of modern classics from Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, and Chief Keef. He didn’t just press play either — he kept the energy flowing all night, hyping up the crowd and spinning transitions for each artist that followed. I even managed to grab an interview with him later on
As the night rolled on, the stage was taken over by Snedk3r, Joutema, Ezifoe, and Ferrul. Each brought their own flavor, but standout moments included “Fiat 5 Hunna” by Joutema and “Right Now” by Snedk3r — both tracks hit hard and got the audience moving.
The vibe across the evening swung between high-octane, mosh-pit energy and slower, more laid-back sets that let the crowd catch their breath. It wasn’t just a gig; it felt like a showcase of the different sounds and talents powering Northampton’s underground scene right now.
